The client
Referred to us by their financial planner, a family of four found their 2-bedroom apartment too cramped as the kids grew. Their priorities included staying in the area for the children’s schooling, space for a dining table, a move-in ready property without renovations, and the dream of a bathtub.
The Journey
Initially starting their search just before Christmas, we decided to put it on hold while they enjoyed their overseas holiday then resume when they returned in late January. Upon returning, a 3 bedroom unit in their complex was advertised and we inspected on the first Saturday. Despite initial concerns about competition, we proceeded with optimism.
The Negotiation
After completing our due diligence, we informed them they could be in the running which they were delighted to hear. We came in with an initial offer and after a number of counter offers, we submitted our best & final with a deadline, which was rejected.
The Success
We received a call an hour later after our offer was rejected, that they had decided to accept our offer. Our clients can now give notice to end their lease, the kids can have their own bedrooms, they can now purchase a dining set to enjoy family meals & wifey can enjoy a nice relaxing bath at the end of her day! A bonus – they only have to move upstairs!
